Our guest blogger this week reminded us to believe in the beauty of our dreams.

The Great Wall of China was a dream originally conceived by Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the third century B.C. as a way to prevent invasions from barbarian nomads.

The series of walls, totaling more than 13,000 miles in length, never prevented invaders from entering China. But they have become a powerful symbol of Chinese civilization’s enduring strength.

Today, the Great Wall is recognized as one of the most impressive architectural feats in human history. In 1987, UNESCO designated the Great Wall a World Heritage site.

Goes to show, you never know what will become of your dreams. Dream anyway!
